This plant has been known by several names. Along with ‘Raspberry Swirl’, it has
also been known as `Siskin Clock’ and looks very similar to `Laced Hero’ that we
used to offer. This name, however, suits it best. White centers are surrounded
by a band of deep raspberry. The color of the band then bleeds out into the
white petals that are edged with a lighter shade of raspberry. The end result of
all of this color swirling is a beautiful plant with blue-green foliage and
darling flowers. It grows 12" tall when in flower, and 6" when just foliage.

low-growing maiden pinks. ‘Arctic Fire’ is
unusual in that is has very attractive white blooms with a red eye. Like other D. deltoides cultivars it likes full sun, excellent
drainage and a soil with a slightly alkaline pH. Plants bloom in Mid-summer and will periodically rebloom through the summer if
cut back after the initial flush of bloom. Trimming back the flowers of any low growing Dianthus variety after blooming will
promote more lush growth and rebloom.

Botanic Garden and Plant Select! This is an extremely long blooming plant with coral-pink flowers
that have a darker red center. This is one of the longest blooming perennials we

you will be rewarded with loads of new flowers! The fine textured soft-green foliage is
nice complement to many other perennials. It grows to about 24" tall and the only real

old-fashioned Bleeding Heart has bright golden foliage and the traditional

This vigorous hybrid was developed by crossing D. grandiflora and D. purpurea. A tetraploid, the
thick, dark green leaves stay in a very neat rosette reaching 2’ wide and up to 2’ tall throughout the summer, and are topped off
by 2’ flower stalks in June and July. The 2-3" long tubular flowers are a deep rose pink with burgundy spots borne in a 12"
raceme. This plant will perform best in a moist, well-drained area in part shade. The flowers are excellent for cutting, and spent
blooms should be kept pruned. We have found that the plant seems to survive winter much better when the foliage is not pruned
until early March.
