One of the hardiest species of Cyrtomium, Holly Fern has 1˝’ to 2˝’ erect,
dull-green, semi-evergreen fronds. The rhizome is erect and non-creeping. Plants

should be planted in a shaded woodsy site, ideally planted with perennials that
have contrasting foliage textures and colors. Excess winter soil moisture should
be a concern, so the plants don’t rot in throughout winter. This species is
