Annuals

Millcreek Gardens LLC is pleased to grow our favorite Proven Winners® and Proven SelectionsTM varieties! These annuals will add season-long color and perform spectacularly in the landscape. The following is a list of our current offerings that are planned for late May and June 2008. All of our annuals are grown in round 4˝" pots, and shipped 8 per flat. Annuals are not available for preorder. Look for them on our "Honor Roll" in May!

Angelonia

Gorgeous spires grace this sturdy, upright, self-branching plant. They’re beautiful in beds or containers. Angelonia makes a fine cut flower, and its fragrant foliage is a nice bonus!

AngelfaceTM Blue (Pat#14,189) - Deep purple flower spires, grows 12-18" tall.
AngelfaceTM White (Pat#13,179) - Pure white flower spires, grows 12-18" tall.

Argyranthemum

This brilliant daisy-type flower is unsurpassed for season-long performance. Use it to brighten any sunny area! It’s self-cleaning, self-branching, and very reliable through late fall.

ButterflyTM - Pure yellow petals with gold centers, grows 12-18" tall.
Vanilla Butterfly (Pat#14,642) - Flowers open with a yellow center and fade to vanilla white at the tips as they mature in the sun, grows 12-18" tall.
Molimba® Pink (PPAF) - Flowers are a brilliant pink that will not fade in the summer heat, grows 14-24".

Calibrachoa Superbells®

Extremely floriferous petunia-like blooms on showy, semi-upright, disease-resistant plants. Superbells® make a spectacular display in hanging gardens, containers, and in the border. We love them!

Superbells® Blue  (Pat#14,874) - Blue flowers, grows 6-10" tall.
 Superbells® Coral Pink  (Pat#14,872) - Lovely pinkish-salmon blooms, grows 6-10" tall.
 Superbells® Pink  (Pat#14,968) - One of the best varieties! Pink flowers, grows 6-10" tall.
Superbells® Red  (Pat#14,847) - Dark red flowers, grows 6-10" tall.
Superbells® Saffron (PPAF) – Bright yellow blooms with red-orange throats, grows 6-10".

Coleus

Truly gorgeous and colorful sun and shade choices for your container gardens or in the landscape. These selections add contrast and beauty to any color combination. Grows 12-18". Look for other available varieties on our weekly ‘Honor Roll’!

Pink Chaos – Narrow leaves are bright pink in color with green and white irregular edging, grows 6-12".
Saturn – Leaves are bright red with splashes of yellow in the centers, grows 12-18".
Twist and Twirl – Vibrantly colored leaves are true to their name, bred to withstand extreme summer heat. Grows 24-30".

Ipomea

These striking Proven SelectionTM vines are happy to scramble through your baskets, combination pots, or flower beds. They love the heat!

Black Heart – Heart-shaped, deep purple leaves, grows 6"-10".
Blackie- mahogany colored leaves, grows to 8-10" tall.
Margarita- lime-green foliage, grows to 18" tall.
Tricolor- soft green with pink and cream variegation, grows to 6" tall.

Lobelia

Fantastic heat and cold tolerant plants flowering in shades of blue. Perfect for hanging gardens, containers, and the front of the border.

Sturdy, vigorous, weather-resistant, trailing hybrid petunias that truly are Super! Our fantastic self-cleaning color selections belong in every sunny garden. Supertunia® Cotton Candy (PPAF) – Vigorous and fluffy, flowers are pale pink and abundant, grows 8-12" tall.
Supertunia® Double Dark Blue (Pat#13,490) - Large, deep, dark-blue, double flowers, grows 5-7" tall.
Supertunia® Lavender Pink (Pat#13,984) - Bright pink flowers, more tolerant of shade, grows 6-10" tall.

Verbena Babylon®

The medium lacy foliage on this series allows maximum show from the abundant blossoms. In sun to partial shade the compact semi-trailing habit will grace your baskets, pots, or flower borders.
